How to measure DC current with clamp
1) Power on the tester
2) Switch the function to DC amp mode (switch between DC/AC amp mode by press SEL/ZERO button)
3) Zero out the readings before each measurement
4) Use the jaw to clamp single wire (not a standard wire), the screen display the test results
Notes:
1) Once you zero out the readings, hold the meter in the same orientation when taking readings. Don’t tilt it, twist or rotate it. Otherwise, changing the orientation of the meter can give false readings due to different magnetic field strengths of the earth when the meter is oriented differently after it’s been zeroed.
2) If measurement is less than 3 seconds, you will get more accurate test results.
